sankalpa
Sankalpa is a Sanskrit term that means "heartfelt intention" or "resolve"
It represents a commitment to oneself, rooted in self-awareness and
aligned with one’s deepest values and aspirations.
In the context of personal growth and healing, a Sankalpa is more than a goal - it’s a guiding principle that fosters positive transformation and self-acceptance.

Sankalpa Psychology honours and pays tribute to the rich heritage of Treaty 7 territory, which encompasses the ancestral lands of the Stoney Nakoda peoples of the Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Wesley Bands, as well as the Tsuut’ina Nation and the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) Confederacy, including the Siksika, Piikani, and Kainai Bands. Additionally, we hold deep respect for the Métis Nation within Region III, whose ancestral homelands we also inhabit.
